What is SessionLinked?

SessionLinked is two things in one product:
  1. A real-time audio link between two DAWs. You hit record in your session and your collaborator’s performance appears on your timeline, anywhere in the world.
  2. The Hub — a marketplace where musicians, engineers, producers and songwriters offer their services. Book a mix, a session guitar part, a mastering pass, or a co-writing session. Payment is held safely until the work is delivered and approved.

How does booking work on the Hub?

Browse listings, choose a package (Basic / Standard / Premium where offered), and pay upfront. Your card is charged at booking, but the funds are held by Stripe until the provider delivers and you either mark the work complete or 7 days pass without objection. If anything goes wrong you can open a dispute; we step in.

What's the commission?

SessionLinked Hub takes 12.5% of each booking. Providers receive the remaining 87.5% to their connected bank account via Stripe, typically 2–7 working days after a booking is marked complete. We don’t charge listing fees, subscription fees, or any other recurring cost to providers.

How do I get paid as a provider?

When you create your first listing we’ll walk you through connecting a bank account via Stripe’s hosted onboarding — the standard “express” flow most musicians have used on Bandcamp or Patreon. Once verified, completed bookings pay out automatically; you don’t have to invoice or chase.

What if my collaborator cancels, or doesn't deliver?

If a provider cancels before starting, you’re refunded in full. If they miss the delivery window you can open a dispute from the booking page — our team reviews the messages + any partial delivery and refunds the client or releases funds to the provider as appropriate. Median response time on disputes is under 48 h.

Can I request a refund?

Yes. Before delivery, the provider can cancel at any time and you’re refunded in full. After delivery, if the work materially differs from what was agreed, open a dispute from your My Bookings page. Because custom-made digital work is exempt from the standard UK 14-day cooling-off period, refunds post-delivery are at our discretion based on the facts of the job.

How is my audio secured?

All uploads use pre-signed URLs over HTTPS into a private S3 bucket. Files are only accessible to the two parties in a booking via short-lived signed download links. Stripe holds payment card details — we never see them. Sign-in is Cognito (AWS) with MFA available. If you delete your account, your portfolio and messages are removed within 30 days.

Do I need to install anything to use the Hub?

No. The Hub runs entirely in your browser. The downloadable SessionLinked companion app is only needed for the DAW-to-DAW real-time link — everything marketplace-related (browsing, booking, messaging, file exchange, reviews) works on the web and on mobile.

What file formats + sizes are supported?

Portfolio uploads: MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG, MP4, MOV, JPG, PNG, WEBP. Maximum 50 MB per file, 8 files per listing. Project deliverables through a booking support the same types with a higher per-file cap (~2 GB) for full-resolution stems.

Where do I report a bug or a bad listing?

Bug reports and general support: support@sessionlinked.com. Every listing has a “Report it” link at the bottom for spam or policy violations. We respond within 2 business days.
